Ebony Bennett is a Philadelphia-based self taught artist. Art has always played an important role in her life even from a young age. As a child, art was her favorite subject in school. She loved to draw, especially cartoon. As she got older, Ebony transitioned into painting portraits of some of the most influential African American activist, creatives and musicians. Primarily, her medium of chose is with acrylic painting. On occasions, she will experiment with watercolors. Her artwork is vivid and quite unique. Beside creating beautiful artwork, she shares her passion and skills within her Brewerytown community. Ebony teaches art classes to children ranging from 5 to 13 years at The Athletic Recreation Center and Sound Space Philly.
